The artisan cast process is a way of applying and bonding a metal coating to a real wood core or to an exterior grade substrate. The resulting surface consists of 80% actual metal and behaves similarly to our hand-wrought metal products.

Artisan Cast Metal Countertops have a living finish that will continue to evolve over the life span of the top. Due to this, artisan cast surfaces will develop a natural patina. This takes about a year to reach its full depth. Also, one can expect artisan cast metal products to show distressing, imperfections, and patina to create a “time-honored” or “rustic” appearance.

Artisan Cast is suitable for: residential countertops, decorative accents, table tops, commercial bar tops, and range hoods.

Because commercial bar tops require a high level of durability, we developed a hybrid product that combines solid metal with artisan cast. For commercial tops or any other top that will need to withstand heavy use a solid metal top is combined seamlessly with a decorative artisan cast edge.

Also, artisan cast range hoods provide an affordable and fast option when shopping for custom kitchen hoods. This process results in a hood that is a stunning focal point that also fits within time and budget constraints.
