Premium Wide Plank
  • Use a trivet for hot pots
  • Use a cutting board for chopping
  • Premium Wide Plank tops include an extremely durable Marine Oil™ finish that is both waterproof and stain proof so minimal maintenance is necessary.
  • Monthly applications of furniture polish such as Weiman’s Cream, Scott’s Liquid Gold or Lemon Pledge may all be safely used to keep the finish looking great and protect the wood. Weiman’s is the most natural of these products and great for food prep areas.
  • Blend minor scratches with a household Scotchbrite pad in a circular motion.
Standard Plank
  • Use a trivet for hot pots
  • Use a cutting board for chopping
  • Standard Plank tops include a Waterlox non-toxic finish that is both water and stain resistant. Weekly applications of furniture polish such as Weiman’s Cream, Scott’s Liquid Gold or Lemon Pledge may all be used to keep the finish looking great and protect the wood. Weiman’s is the most natural of these products and great for food prep areas.
  • When the finish has aged or seems to dull, you may clean the tops with Murphy’s Oil Soap and recoat with Waterlox Brand Wood Finish.
Edge Grain
  • Do not leave standing water
  • Do not let top dry out
  • End Grain tops are sealed and oiled in order to allow cutting, chopping and food prep. They require monthly oiling with butcher block dressing oil to keep them from drying out, cracking and splitting.
  • You may re-sand the top to remove cut marks. Re-oil as needed thereafter.
