Concrete Care and Feeding
Verdicrete countertops are extremely durable, waterproof and stain-proof. We take pride in the construction of our tops and we think you'll be more than satisfied.
Caring for Your Verdicrete Countertop:
- Non-abrasive household cleaners are safe to use on your Verdicrete countertop.
- Use a 3M Scotch Brite pad for scrubbing or to remove light scratches.
- As with most countertop materials, a cutting board should always be used when chopping or preparing foods.
- The use of a trivet is recommended. Although Verdicrete is heat-resistant, the finish can be damaged from prolonged exposure to very high temperatures.
- Verdicrete is non-absorbent and stain-proof. Items such as oil, vinegar, wine, crayon, marker, mustard and teriyaki sauce will not stain the top.

What to Avoid:
No material is indestructible; damage that would cause harm to marble and many granites can also affect Verdicrete. It's best to avoid:
- Sharp impacts or blows to the edge that might chip the finish.
- Sliding abrasive objects, such as heavy unglazed pottery, which may cause scratching.
- Twisting or grinding items onto the surface of the countertop.
- Chopping and cutting directly on the surface, which may produce cut marks and can dull knive edges. The use of a cutting board and trivet is recommended.
- High heat from an oven pan at 450 degrees which may cause damage.
