Pewter is a classic European countertop material. It is often seen on Bar tops in France and Italy. It is noted for a satin sheen and distinctive color . It continues to patinate and acquire a unique finish, reflecting a use pattern of the home it resides in. Pewter scratches readily but is easy to re-brush with a ScotchBrite pad. It may also be made with a mirror finish.
